Festus Duru is a Farmer, Prolific Writer, Philanthropist, Author and Entrepreneur. He is a Fellow of Corporate Governance and Management. Duru is the Winner of the 2012 edition of, “Good Authorship Award”, courtesy of one of his books titled “Causes of Business Failure in Nigeria”.
Duru was Nigeria Federal House of Representatives Candidate 2023.
While serving the Nigeria National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, Duru won the “Best Corps Member Award” as a result of his initiating, establishing and piloting a “Free Newspapers and Magazines Reading Center”, which was heavily supported by Exonmobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, at Ikot Edor, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, a project that made significant impact in the local community.
Festus; a lecturer, among other things is a Board of Trustees Member and the Secretary General of Eunice Divine Care Foundation, an NGO that cares for the girl child, widows and indigent persons.
He has regularly organized and featured in several seminars, workshops, trainings and youth empowerments.
Festus has been at the prestigious Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cum African Leadership Forum (ALF) Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC). He is a Management Consultant.
Duru is part of a number of organizations including Silent Properties Limited.
Festus is a Board of Trustees Member of Obi Umunna Na Umuada United.
